Minister Opens GBP 1.5 Mln Boat Building Construction Hall

Mustang Marine has officially opened its new construction hall today at Pembroke Port.

The new £1.5million boat building construction hall has been built in response to growing demand for workboats, pilot boats, wind farm support vessels and passenger vessels from around the world. This expansion has doubled the size of workboats construction operations at the Pembroke Dock facility, and will ultimately create jobs at Mustang Marine.

Several vessels are currently in build at this construction hall, among which is the first in class of a range of multi-purpose vessels, the SMV24 by Supacat.

Wales’ Economy Minister Edwina Hart was the one who cut the ribbon on the new hall, marking its official opening.

Hart said: “I am very pleased to open this new facility today which represents a major step forward in Mustang Marine’s expansion plans. It is encouraging to see a local company doing so well and taking advantage of the support available to them in the Haven Waterway Enterprise Zone.“
