Minesto to hold public consultation event

Business & Finance

Minesto has invited local stakeholders to join the company at the public consultation event.

According to Minesto, the design and environmental impact assessment for proposed Deep Green tidal energy project off the coast of Holy Island, Anglesey, are progressing well.

The company is organizing an event/exhibition where Minesto’s team will provide feedback and answer questions about the project proposal.

Minesto, a Swedish-based tidal energy developer, has designed a power plant, called Deep Green, that looks like an underwater kite. As the kite moves, water flows through the turbine and electricity is produced in the gearless generator.

The all-day event will take place at Holyhead Town Hall, Holyhead, on May 21, 2015.
