Minesto goes on a recruitment drive

Swedish-based tidal energy developer, Minesto, is expanding its team with several development engineering job openings.

The company is looking for development engineers that would be based in Gothenburg, Sweden, and would play an important role in delivering the company’s first full-scale Deep Green 500 kW power plant off Holyhead Island in Wales, UK.

Minesto is recruiting the development engineers for the positions related to electronic design, power system, and mechanical design.

As a Development Engineer for Electronic Design, the successful candidate will be responsible for the electric systems, including development and packaging of electronics into the mechanical structure, as well as delivering of technical design and technical specifications in projects.

Development Engineer for Power System will be tasked with the design and functionality of electrical cable, seafloor switchgear and hub.

The scope of work for the Development Engineer Mechanical Design comprises working throughout all product development phases – from conceptual design to detailed design and supplier selection.

Minesto’s Deep Green tidal power plant, planned for deployment in 2017, was backed by the European Regional Development Fund, as well as KIC InnoEnergy, with multi-million funding awards.
