Middlesbrough Plans to Develop Centre for Offshore Renewable Energy (UK)

About 220 working positions could be created if plans for development of a Centre for Offshore Renewable Energy in Middlesbrough go through.

The proposed project worth GBP 3.3 million would be located at the Teesside Advanced Manufacturing Park (TAMP).

According to news from Gazette Live, Middlesbrough Council is considering plans for the project’s development and would take up a GBP 144,000 loan from the Growing Places Fund administered by regeneration body Tees Valley Unlimited to pay for the preliminary work.

Also, a proposal would be made to the European Regional Development Fund and to the Growing Places Fund to fund the Centre’s development.
