Mermaid deputy CEO resigns

Subsea and drilling services provider Mermaid said that Philippe Grasset has submitted his resignation as deputy chief executive officer of the company.

The parties have agreed that the effective date of his resignation will be on 1 July 2020.

Philippe Jean Paul Grasset took the position of deputy CEO in October 2019.

Grasset came to Mermaid with more than thirty years experience of management at senior executive level within international groups.

Prior to Mermaid he was executive VP of Synova Power and also executive VP SNC Lavalin – Oil & Gas before that.

He has a Master’s degree in engineering from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Arts & Métiers – Paris (France).

Grasset’s role at Mermaid was to oversee the execution by the company of key initiatives approved by the board including operational strategy development, business turnaround and transformation, business development and sales, as well as budgeting and performance monitoring.

These responsibilities will fall to other members of the company’s management Mermaid said.
