Marine activities continue at FORCE

The Fundy Ocean Research Center for Energy (FORCE) expects periods of marine activity at the Bay of Fundy to continue until mid-October.

The activities involve barge anchoring, cable recovery, and test mooring trials, at locations including the Parrsboro wharf, West Bay, and the FORCE site in the Minas Passage.

According to FORCE, the barge may exit and return to its berth at the Parrsboro wharf a number of times during this period. For safety and logistical reasons, the Parrsboro wharf may be closed for short defined periods during the operation.

This exercise is related to the FAST underwater monitoring platforms.

The public is welcome to observe marine operations from the FORCE visitor center, and via video streaming.
