Business & Finance

Magseis said it has been awarded a smaller contract for the lease of its proprietary marine autonomous seismic system (MASS) nodes for a project in South East Asia.

The Norwegian seabed seismic services player said it will mobilise a light handling system and field technicians for the project.

Per-Christian Grytnes, Magseis CEO said: “We are delighted with entering into our first lease agreement. It is a major first step in adding further flexibility to our business model.

“The MASS node is highly competitive and we are further broadening deployment capabilities to enable more projects with low OPEX and attractive economics.”

According to the company, the contract will start during Q1 2018.
