Magseis Fairfield enters new node crew lease deal

Magseis Fairfield, a provider of ocean bottom seismic (OBS) technology and data acquisition projects, has signed a new node crew lease contract in the Asia Pacific region.

The company said on Friday it had signed a 2-3 months contract for the lease of a MASS I node crew to a client in the Asia Pacific region.

The contract includes nodes, containerized automated handling system, and service personnel, Magseis Fairfield added.

It will start in the fourth quarter 2019 when the nodes are released from an ongoing survey in the North Sea.

In related news, Magseis Fairfield has recently appointed Carel Hooijkaas as its new Chief Executive Officer effective October 1, 2019, succeeding Per Christian Grytnes who will retire from the company.
