Norwegian seabed seismic services player, Magseis, informed that its chairman Mari Thjømøe has, for personal reasons, decided to tender her resignation.

The board has accepted the resignation and appointed board member Jan P. Grimnes as the new interim chairman of the board until the date of the annual general meeting for 2017.

To remind, in July this year, Magseis announced Dr. Idar Horstad as the company’s new chief executive officer (CEO). He is s scheduled to succeed co-founder and CEO Ivar Gimse this month.

The Oslo-listed company has seen red ink at the end of the second quarter 2016, on 53 percent revenue drop, but said it anticipates better days backed by the Red Sea survey for Saudi Aramco.
