LOC Group appoints new Head of Renewables

International marine and engineering consultancy LOC Group has appointed R V Ahilan to the post of Group Director at Renewables Advisory & Energy Technology.

The new appointment will drive LOC Group’s ambitions to increase its scope in the renewables sector and to secure greater engineering and technology market share in the renewable, oil and gas and shipping sectors, LOC Group’s press release reads.

Ahilan joins LOC from DNV GL, where he was Executive Vice President of the Renewables Advisory Division.

Ahilan is expected to develop LOC’s skill set through investment in people, technology and the deployment of existing expertise, as well as to address new market opportunities in renewable energy sector.
