Lighthouse Integrates Ageotec

Business & Finance

Italian ROV manufacturer and survey equipment provider, Ageotec, has merged with marine survey company, Lighthouse, which for years has been part of the same Holding Group.

According to the company, the merger should strengthen the current existing sales structure by involving Ageotec staff in selling ROVs, oceanographic, geophysical and hydrographic equipment.

Lighthouse will continue to provide positioning services, geophysical acquisition and data processing.

Enrico Sassi, general manager of Lighthouse, said: “Together is better than alone. Especially for those who work at sea and for the sea, a good and qualified team is the starting point to overcome any challence that, at the first glance, seems to be impossible to face. Today we blend two skilled teams and we put them at the service of our customers to make, together, the most appropriate choices, to win bigger challenges. Looking ahead, to make possible what before seemed impossible.”

Furthermore, the agreement signed with L3 Calzoni should see Ageotec improve the manufacturing of ROVs. The ROVs will continue to be marketed as Ageotec, taking advantage of Calzoni’s production model.

Ageotec operative staff will remain the same, and will focus on the sale of the ROVs and equipment in civil sector, while L3 Calzoni will retain production of the underwater robots, as well as sales in military sector. A joined team will work on research and development.
