Kotug said on Tuesday that the new joint venture would be named Kotug Canada and would look to develop a strong presence within the Canadian terminal and harbor towing market.

According to the company, the strategic partnership will bring complementary skills from each partner and the sharing of joint experience, expertise, and best practices.

Osman Munir, COO of Kotug, said: “We have selected Horizon Maritime as our partner based on our relationship with its leadership team and on its focus on people and safety. We look forward to working together and delivering on our promise to exceed our customers’ expectations.”

It is worth noting that Kotug has a presence in the oil and gas, mining, renewables, offshore industries, as well as Port Authorities.

It continues to invest in sustainable innovations to improve its services for the benefit of the entire maritime industry.
