Kitanihon Shipbuilding Pens Two LPG Carriers

Epic Shipping has signed a contract for the construction of two 3,500cbm fully-pressurised LPG carriers. The vessels will be built by Kitanihon Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in Japan.

“We look forward to work with Kitanihon on this project. The newbuildings will allow us to selectively replace the older tonnage in our existing fleet in due course and to offer our customers an even wider choice of modern high quality ships” stated Lars Vang Christensen, Chief Executive Officer of Epic.

The vessels are scheduled for delivery in mid-2014.
