Keel Laying Ceremony for Bulk Carrier Ordered by German Owner

On 28th April, 2011 at No. 2 Dock, HVS held the keel laying ceremony for Hull No. S010, the last vessel of a series of ten (10) 56,000DWT Class Bulk Carriers built for owner E.R. Schiffart, Germany. Launching is scheduled on 2nd August, 2011 and to be delivered around early November 2011.

After that, at the same dock, keel laying ceremony for Hull No. S058 was held. This is the 2nd vessel of a series of two (2) vessels ordered by Blue Tide Shipping No.1 S.A., Panama. As schedule, she will be launched on 2nd August, 2011 and delivered to owner around end November 2011.

56,000 DWT Bulk Carriers are of modern generation, having more preeminent features than other normal bulk carriers and are preferred by almost western owners because these ships are equipped with double skin, single propeller, full automation system with remote control wheelhouse for main engine, rudder…, all alarm system and integrated energy management. The vessel is 188 m long, 32.26 m wide and 18.3 m high with five (5) holds of 70,700 m3 cargo capacity, four (4) onboard cranes of 30 tons lifting capacity.
