Business & Finance

Subsea engineering and training company, Jee Ltd, will present at the Renewable UK event, sharing their experience in the field of offshore renewables and marine energy, it is stated in the company’s press release.

Gary Howland, Jee’s Busniess Development Manager for the Renewables sector, will present in the session “Next Generation Enabling Technologies for the Wave and Tidal Sector”, discussing their contract to develop solutions for locating, securing, protecting and recovering electrical subsea cables as a part of Scottish Enterprise’s Marine Energy Array Cabling Solution Development project.

Howland said: “The expanding renewables industry has introduced marine energy as an effective solution to help decarbonise the UK’s energy supply, increase energy security and reduce our dependence on imported fossil fuels. It has been forecast that the global wave and tidal market will be worth around GBP 50 billion by 2050, which further highlights the viability of adopting the energy for commercial use and the importance of these development projects in making it possible.”

Wave & Tidal 2015 conference will be held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on February 25-26, 2015.
