Japan’s Electric Power has snapped up a single cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for May delivery.

Citing traders, Reuters reports the cargo was priced between $7.75 to $7.8 per million British thermal units (mmBtu), however, the supplier remained undisclosed.

Tohoku Electric closed its tender on March 12 in which it sought a single cargo for May 7-13 window on a delivered ex-ship (DES) basis.

The company closed a similar tender in January, securing a cargo to be delivered over the coming days, in March 18-22 window. That cargo was priced at $10.30 mmBtu.
