James Fisher Offshore (JFO) has won a decommissioning project in the Middle East with a new offshore platform jacket removal in Saudi Arabia.

The work will utilise its pioneering cutting solution which is, according to JFO, capable of delivering significant time-saving efficiencies.

The project, which requires two full spreads of advanced abrasive cutting equipment to be mobilised in support of a regional contractor’s jacket removal programme, secures JFO’s role in this scope of work well into 2020.

Jack Davidson, managing director of JFO, said: “As a key market for JFO, the appetite for our solutions in the Middle East region is very encouraging. There is a clear recognition of our experience, track record and innovation in delivering measurable efficiencies for some of the region’s most notable decommissioning projects.

“We are looking forward to adding both breadth and depth to these burgeoning regional relationships and continuing to demonstrate our growing decommissioning capabilities.”
