Italy: Soc SEVA SRL Requests State Concession for Offshore Wind Plant

The Soc SEVA SRL has requested a state concession for the installation and maintenance of 28 wind turbines of 3.6 MW each, with towers 90m high, 120m rotor diameter, forming an industrial offshore plant for electricity production. 

The location is in the territorial waters of northern Lake Sardinia, the municipalities of Porto Torres and Sassari, Gulf Asinara.

Duration of the concession is 50 years. Expected electricity production is about 250,000 MWh per annum, which equals to the needs of about 100,000 families considering the average consumption of 2.5 kWh for each family.
