Technology

International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) has launched REsource, a freely accessible online knowledge platform containing data and information on renewable energy, which enables users to easily find country-specific data, create customized charts and graphs, and compare countries on metrics like renewable energy use and deployment.

It also provides information on renewable energy market statistics, potentials, policies, finance, costs, benefits, innovations, education and other topics.

“The continued growth of the renewable energy industry has outpaced the information available to monitor and analyse the sector. REsource now provides a strategic window into these trends and developments, while cementing IRENA’s role as a global knowledge hub on renewable energy,” IRENA’s Adnan Amin said.

By providing access to a large amount of information and data in one centralized location, REsource aims to improve decision-making, increase awareness and investor confidence, and accelerate the overall deployment of renewable energy technologies worldwide.

Policy-makers, private sector professionals, analysts, researchers, journalists and the general public will all benefit from REsource’s user-frien   dly platform by gaining a better understanding of the latest renewable energy trends and data.
