Innovation picked up the monopiles last night at Sif Rotterdam, a spokesperson from DEME Offshore said.

Sif was in charge of providing 47 monopiles for the project, with EEW SPC, the parent company of EEW OSB, delivering the remaining 47 pieces.

Bladt Industries is responsible for the 59 transition pieces and EEW OSB for supplying 35 units.

Innovation installed the first foundation in mid-January, while the installation of the turbines started in mid-April.

Borssele 1+2 will comprise 94 Siemens Gamesa 8 MW units and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
