Image of the Day: Marorka Bags UASC Gig

The Icelandic provider of energy management solutions for maritime industry Marorka has posted this image to announce the contract with United Arab Shipping Company (S.A.G.) to deliver ship performance monitoring solutions.

The company says its Marorka Wallboard energy management system will help optimize vessel performance and subsequently reduce the fuel consumption and carbon emissions of the UASC fleet.

”We have been running Marorka systems on two of our vessels and this decision is based on the results of the trials we have undertaken. The Marorka Wallboard has delivered verifiable fuel savings and significant eco-efficiency benefits, as well as greater transparency, which is important for our fleet management team,” said Waleed Al Dawood, COO at UASC.
