International Energy Agency (IEA) is organizing a webinar during which the collaboration with the private sector on energy technology challenges will be discussed.

As part of Mission Innovation’s Business and Investor Engagement sub-group, the IEA will co-host a webinar titled ‘Collaborating with the private sector on global energy technology challenges – The IEA perspective’ on July 11, 2016.

The IEA will outline the tools and methods it uses to engage the private sector on energy technology issues, drawing from its long-standing experience collaborating with the private sector to produce analysis, outlooks, market studies and forecasts as well as through the Energy Technology Network and its Technology Collaboration Programmes, the IEA Energy Business Council and other forums.

The presentations will be followed by an interactive question and answer session with the audience, IEA informed.

Mission Innovation has been jointly launched by 21 countries at UN Climate Change Conference 2015 (COP21) in November 2015.

The initiative has been created in an effort to reinvigorate and accelerate public and private global clean energy innovation with the objective to make clean energy widely affordable.
