HHI placed the order on behalf of an undisclosed European shipowner for three LNG carriers which will offer a total cargo capacity of 200,000 m3 each.

As part of the order, GTT will design the tanks of the three vessels that will be fitted with the company’s Mark III Flex+ membrane containment system.

The delivery of the vessels is scheduled between the second and fourth quarters of 2026.

At the beginning of the year, GTT received an order from another Korean shipyard, namely Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (HSHI), for the tank design of two 174,000 m3 LNG carriers. Prior to this, HSHI ordered tank designs for two LNG carriers being built for a Middle Eastern shipowner ASYAD Shipping.

2023 has started busy for GTT, with orders arriving from companies such as HSHI, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry & Co (DSIC), and Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI).
