The shipyard noted that the vessel is currently the world’s largest LNG bunkering ship with an 18,600-cbm capacity.

The 135-meter long vessel named Gas Agility is the first to feature GTT’s Mark III Flex containment system.

The vessel, ordered by Japan’s Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) will operate in Northern Europe under a charter deal with the French major Total.

Total’s unit, Total Marine Fuels Global Solutions, will use the vessel to supply LNG to commercial vessels, including 300,000 tons per year for CMA CGM’s nine ultra-large newbuild containerships in Europe-Asia trade, for a period of at least 10 years.

The vessel also uses LNG as fuel and features a complete reliquefaction of the boil-off gas.
