Port officials in £1.7m drug haul

Officials at a Suffolk port have uncovered a shipment of £1.7m of cannabis they believe was destined for north west England. The drugs arrived at Felixstowe on 19 August on board a container ship which had sailed from Durban in South Africa. Officers from the UK Border Agency discovered the 600kg of cannabis in one kilo slabs inside a shipment listed as wooden bowls and moisturising cream.
