Thomas Sunde, Subsea 7 VP Technology

Subsea 7 has acquired polymer lining technologist, Swagelining Limited.

Subsea 7 and Swagelining have cooperated together as a partnership, designing and installing in excess of 150km of reeled and bundled polyethylene (PE) lined water injection flowlines in the North Sea, for a number of operators and developments.

The world’s largest single-lift installation/decommissioning and pipelay vessel, Allseas’ ‘Pioneering Spirit’, departed Rotterdam on Saturday and is heading for offshore trials in the North Sea.

The vessel has been moored in Rotterdam’s Alexiahaven since January 2015 for installation, commissioning and testing of the topsides lift system.

 


James Fisher Buys Hughes Sub Surface

James Fisher has acquired the entire share capital of Hughes Marine Engineering Limited, the holding company of Hughes Sub Surface Engineering Limited.

The initial consideration is GBP 9 million in cash, with further future consideration of up to GBP 1 million subject to certain profit targets being met by February 28, 2017, the company explained.

 


GE_and_L&T_Ink_Subsea_Equipment_MoU

GE has signed an exclusive memorandum of understanding (MoU) with L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering to manufacture subsea manifolds destined for future deep water projects in the Krishna-Godavari basin on the east coast of India.

L&T’s 600,000 sq.m. modular fabrication facility in Tamil Nadu was chosen as the production site to manufacture hardware for the seabed.

ROVOP has secured over USD 4 million worth of contracts spanning the North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, West Africa and Europe.

The contracts are with several new clients across a number of sectors and include construction support, cable lay and protection, survey and inspection repair and maintenance (IRM).
