Subsea World News has put together a recap of the most interesting articles from the previous week (June 05 – June 11).

McDermott has been awarded an engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) contract from BP Trinidad & Tobago (bpTT) for the Angelin gas field, located 40 kilometers off the east coast of Trinidad and Tobago.

McDermott will provide a turnkey EPCIC solution to design, procure, fabricate, transport, install and commission a six-slot wellhead platform and 26-inch subsea pipeline.

Maersk Connector has performed its first engineered grounding at Walney out of Heysham in the West of England.

This operation was the first ever for Maersk Connector and the first in Maersk Supply Service’s history.

The onshore cable-laying capability was carried out together with client DeepOcean. The vessel went in with the high tide and grounded again with the low tide, using strategic anchor lines to hold position during the operation.

TechnipFMC has entered into a three-year frame agreement with Woodside Energy in Australia for riserless light well intervention (RLWI) and subsea services, including intervention, installation, and plug and abandonment services.

Under the agreement, TechnipFMC will initially perform installation and RLWI services in the Greater Western Flank Phase 2 (GWF-2) development, located approximately 175 km northwest of Dampier, Western Australia.

DOF Subsea has been awarded contracts in the Asia Pacific and Atlantic regions.

The new projects bring vessel days for Skandi Singapore, Skandi Skansen and Geosund.

DOF Subsea’s chief executive officer, Mons S. Aase, said: “I am happy to see increased activity levels in the regions, and that we are strengthening the Group’s contract backlog.”
