The North Sea campaign is set to start in early Q2 with back-to-back scheduling and a total duration of approximately 130 days, while the contract in the Barents Sea will begin in late May and will have a total duration of approximately 50 days.

According to Kristian Johansen, CEO of TGS, the company is experiencing high demand for contract work on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) this year, compared to 2024.

“We are very pleased to secure a series of 4D streamer contracts offshore Norway for the 2025 summer season. Our GeoStreamer technology combined with the Ramform acquisition platform ensures efficient delivery of high-quality data,” said Kristian Johansen, CEO of TGS.

“When including our multi-client programs, we will have three streamer vessels working on the Norwegian continental shelf this summer.”

TGS won multiple new assignments over the past few months, including a 3D streamer contract in India and an ocean bottom node (OBN) contract in Europe, both due to begin early in 2025, as well as a “large” 3D streamer contract in the Southern Atlantic.

The Norwegian company will also perform a 3D streamer contract in Northwest Europe for the 2025 summer season.
