The four LNG carriers have been ordered by an unnamed shipping company from Oceania, HD KSOE said in a stock exchange filing. The ships will be built at Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, one of the three HD KSOE’s subsidiaries.

The order, received on February 26, 2024, is worth KRW 1.43 trillion ($1.08 billion).

According to HD KSOE, the vessels are slated for delivery by January 2028.

So far this year, HD KSOE achieved 44.3 percent, or $5.98 billion, of its annual order target of $13.5 billion. The vessel orders include VLACs, LPG carriersethane carriers, oil tankers, petrochemical carriers and LNG carriers.

Last week, HD KSOE secured an order for the construction of two liquified petroleum gas (LPG) carriers. The two vessels will be built for an unnamed shipowner based in Asia under KRW 172.4 billion ($129 million) deal.
