HC IQIP Moving to Sliedrecht Base

Business & Finance

HC IQIP will soon relocate its Kinderdijk- and Delfgauw-based activities to a new location in Sliedrecht.

Royal IHC recently decided to move all shipbuilding activities from Sliedrecht to Kinderdijk and Krimpen a/d Ijssel to make the site available for IHC IQIP’s activities.

As per December, IHC said it will begin the relocation to this new location. The move of its office personnel into new head office is planned for this year. The complete production facilities should be moved in the first quarter of 2017.

Sliedrecht will become the head office and main production facility of IHC IQIP. The engineering and fabrication of the Fundex rigs will remain in Goes.

“The move to Sliedrecht means that IHC IQIP can engineer, produce and maintain almost all equipment at one site. This will speed up production, increase efficiency, reduce costs and create a safe working environment,” IHC said.

IHC IQIP is the newest organisation within IHC whose activities cover foundations, installations and decommissioning in the offshore wind, oil and gas, and coastal and civil engineering markets. It was established one year ago to combine four former business units – IHC Hydrohammer, IHC Handling Systems, IHC Sea Steel and IHC Fundex Equipment.
