Danish oil company Maersk Oil has awarded a contract extension to one of Havila Shipping’s platform supply vessels (PSVs).

Havila said on Wednesday that Maersk declared a six-month option for the PSV Havila Clipper, keeping the vessel with the Danish oil company until June 1, 2018.

The vessel has been working for the Maersk since 2014 when it was hired on a firm contract for three years starting June 1, 2014, with one optional period of one year from June 1, 2017.

Maersk awarded the Havila Clipper platform supplier with a new contract in May 2017 for a firm period of six months and one optional period of six months. The new deal was a direct continuation of the existing contract.

According to the latest AIS data, the vessel is currently located offshore Norway, several kilometers off Esbjerg.
