Gunvor, B.B. Energy place lowest bids in Pakistan LNG tender

Trading companies Gunvor and B.B. Energy submitted the lowest bids in a tender to supply Pakistan with three liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargoes in April.

The state-owned Pakistan LNG launched the tender in January with three delivery windows across April.

Four companies took part in the tender including Gunvor, B.B. Energy, Trafigura and Vitol, Pakistan LNG’s commercial evaluation report dated February 8 shows.

Swiss-based trader Gunvor submitted the most competitive bid for the April 7-8 delivery window at 12.4223 percent of Brent.

B.B. Energy placed the lowest offers for cargoes to be delivered over April 17 -18 at 11.7323 percent of Brent and April 27-28 at 11.3014 percent of Brent.

The cargoes will be delivered on a DES basis to the Port Qasim, where two Pakistan’s LNG receiving facilities are located.

Pakistan LNG expects to award the cargoes on February 19.
