On 19 July, GTT announced that it received, in the second quarter of 2022, an order from its partner the Korean shipyard. The order is for the tank design of two new LNG carriers on behalf of a European ship owner. The shipowner, however, still remains undisclosed.

As part of this order, GTT will design the tanks of the vessels, which will each offer a cargo capacity of 174,000 cbm. The vessels will feature the Mark III Flex membrane containment system.

HSHI will deliver the LNG carriers in the first quarter of 2026.
