GTT will design the tanks for the two LNGCs, each offering a total capacity of 174,000 m3 and incorporating the Mark III Flex membrane containment system developed by GTT.

The deliveries of these LNGCs are scheduled for 2026 and 2027, GTT said, noting that the vessels will be built by Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries for the Nakilat company.

As for the VLEC, GTT revealed that the vessel will be built by Hyundai Heavy Industries on behalf of Purus Maritime, with the delivery scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.

GTT will design the tanks for this VLEC, which will have a total capacity of 98,000 m3 and incorporate the Mark III membrane containment system developed by GTT.

To note, HD KSOE is the holding company of Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (HSHI) and Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) shipyards.

In 2024, GTT received LNGC tank design orders from multiple companies, the latest one being from Samsung Heavy Industries for the tank design of 15 new LNGCs.

According to GTT, this order was received in early 2024 on behalf of a “leading” LNG player, and the delivery of these vessels is scheduled between the fourth quarter of 2026 and the fourth quarter of 2028.
