Business & Finance

Global Energy Group (GEG) has appointed Ian Cobban as its new Executive Vice President (EVP).

Cobban joins the group from Subsea 7, where he held the position of Vice President.

He will be tasked with GEG’s Equipment Business units, working closely with the Board and Business Unit Managers to continue to realise the full potential of these businesses, GEG’s press release reads.

Cobban was also recently named as Atlantis Resources’ independent Non-Executive Director.

As reported earlier, Atlantis granted GEG a preferred supplier status for the provision of certain fabrication, manufacture, assembly and logistical support services. Atlantis stated it would enter into a lease at GEG’s Nigg Energy Park for Shop 1, located in Scotland, and use the facility for turbine assembly and testing, in support of the MeyGen tidal energy project.

GEG is an energy sector service group that aims to enhance value, reduce risks and provide innovative solutions to energy companies and their contractors.

The company offers fabrication and maintenance services, as well as resource management, supply chain solutions and vendor inspection services within its portfolio.
