 Meyer Werft Hands Over 71.300 GT Cruise Ship AIDAmar

On May 3, Meyer Werft Shipyard delivered a new 71 300 GT cruise ship AIDAmar to the shipping company AIDA Cruises. The solemn delivery ceremony took place at the Port of Emden.

AIDAmar is the sixth ship built for AIDA Cruises by Meyer Werft’s Papenburg shipyard and it is designed for the German market. This new cruise ship has very comfortable and tasteful decor with modern technical requirements.

The diesel-electric propulsion system, interactive communication systems, sophisticated technology and entertainment on board, complying with the latest technical standards, are the guarantee for safety and entertainment.

After the delivery, the cruise ship has sailed to Hamburg where it will be christened on 12 May, as a part of the 823rd Hamburg Harbour Birthday celebration ceremony. After that, AIDAmar will sail out for its premiere travel to the Northern Europe.
