According to the company’s social media post, a contract was finalized for the construction of D500 vessels, “paving the way for Next-Generation Maritime Transport”. The ships will be the next generation of MPP’s 15,000 dwt class.

“I am immensely proud of the team’s collective effort, with special recognition for our exceptional engineering and project team. Their dedication and technical expertise were instrumental in shaping the vessels to meet the highest standards,” said Lars Feller, CEO at dship Carriers.

“This project showcases what can be achieved when expertise and vision come together.”

The D500 project represents “a leap forward” in innovation, emphasizing efficiency and performance. These vessels are expected to achieve a significant reduction in fuel consumption, aligning with environmental sustainability goals.

With approximately 50 percent more cargo hold and deck capacity, the D500 vessels are to further enhance dship Carriers’ fleet to meet the evolving industry needs.

Construction is set to commence shortly, with delivery expected in 2025, reinforcing dship Carriers’ commitment to driving positive change in maritime transport.
