Gasum said that the “delivery not only marks a historic moment for our customer, Seaworks, but also signifies their inaugural venture into LNG dual fuel technology.”

Furthermore, the company noted that it looks forward to continuing to serve Seaworks and the vessel in the future.

This self-discharging dry bulk ship, named Vigdis H, is 80 meters long, features 3,900 tons and is said to be the first bulk carrier in its class under 5,000 tons that is completely carbon neutral.

The machine runs on LNG, with electrical solutions for operation on board.

The vessel was launched by China’s Wuhu Shipyard in the Yangtze River in China on November 29, 2022, and according to Gasum, it was delivered before Christmas 2023.
