Gardline Kommandor Vessel Begins Barryroe Field Site Survey in Ireland

Operations & Maintenance

Gardline’s M/V Kommandor survey vessel has been mobilized to undertake site survey over the Barryroe field within Standard Exploration Licence (SEL) 1/11, offshore Ireland.

SEL 1/11 is operated by Exola, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Providence Resources, on behalf of its partners, APEC Energy Enterprises and Lansdowne Celtic Sea.

The M/V Kommandor vessel will undertake a seabed debris clearance, environmental baseline and habitat assessment site survey.

The projected programme provides for a minimum of two locations to be surveyed at this time with the scope to increase the number of locations upon receipt of the APEC Loan Amount.

The site survey is expected to take up to three weeks depending on operating conditions, Providence noted.

The area lies in circa 100 meter water depth in the North Celtic Sea Basin and is located approximately 50 km off the south coast of Ireland.
