Gallery: SEENEOH test site takes shape

Operations & Maintenance

The marine works at the SEENEOH tidal test site, located on the Garonne river in Bordeaux, France, have started last week.

The ongoing works consist of riverbed excavation, and the installation of 14 concrete anchors each weighing 18 tonnes, SEENEOH informed on social media.

Once fully constructed, SEENEOH will comprise of three test berths at depths greater than 8 meters.

The test berths are designed to accommodate tidal devices with mounted or floating fixation type for testing purposes.

Each testing berth is connected to the onshore substation through an export cable, with a grid connection that has a total capacity of 250kW.

The test site is expected to be fully operational before the end of 2016.
