Business & Finance

Fugro has been awarded a contract from Japan’s oil and gas exploration and production company, Inpex, for subsea services to be executed across the Ichthys facilities in the Timor Sea, some 220 kilometres offshore Western Australia.

The five year contract, plus options, encompasses field operations support, inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) services.

Fugro will provide all services through its office in Perth. The work will be performed under Fugro’s QHSE system.

Mark Heine, divisional director marine and member of the board of management, said: “We are pleased to have secured this long term contract, supporting vessel utilisation in the current challenging oil and gas market. This IRM contract fits well within our asset integrity business line, which centers around inspection and monitoring services, supporting optimal utilisation and longevity of our clients’ infrastructure.”
