FSV VOS Gorgeous delivered to Vroon

Vroon has taken delivery of a field-support vessel (FSV) VOS Gorgeous on Thursday, April 16, 2015.

The vessel was delivered to the company at Fujian South East Shipyard (FSES) in Fuzhou, China.

VOS Gorgeous is a 60-m FSV and third in a series of four such FSVs being built at the Shipyard for Vroon. The vessels feature a wave-piercing bow shape.

The company has ordered a total of 22 offshore-support vessels at Fujian Southeast, with delivery between 2014 and 2016.

VOS Gorgeous was christened in a ceremony held in November last year at the Shipyard by Mireille Notebaart.

According to Vroon, the vessel has now left the shipyard and will be heading for the North Sea where it will start a long-term charter. It will be managed by Vroon Offshore Services Aberdeen.
