The newbuild, named Liekut, was delivered to its owner on March 26.

Launched in October 2019, Liekut is the eight RoRo vessel built by FSG for Siem. With a length of 209.79 metres and a width of 26 metres, the ship has a load capacity of 11,900 tonnes.

FSG completed the seventh RoRo ship for Siem in August last year. Named Leevsten, the newbuild is identical to its sister vessel Liekut.

Earlier this month, FSG temporarily suspended all operations due to the coronavirus pandemic, joining its European counterparts that were also forced to halt production.

“Under the current circumstances, we are very pleased that the handover could take place without any problems,” FSG said in a statement.
