The newbuild, named Marta Cosulich, was built by the Chinese yard Zhejiang Shenzhou Sunshine Heavy Industry and delivered on May 9, 2024.

Marta Cosulich is an IMO Type II chemical bunker tanker and is currently en route to Singapore where it will join Fratelli Couslich’s fleet.

“As an integral part of our fleet expansion strategy, Marta Cosulich joins our esteemed lineup of vessels operating in the bustling port of Singapore. With a fleet of meticulously maintained bunker tankers already making waves, we are proud to uphold the highest standards approved by the Maritime and Port Authority (MPA), ensuring deliveries in strict compliance with the Singapore Standard Code of Practice for Bunkering (SS648),” the shipowner said.

The Italian group already owns two China-build LNG bunker vessels, Alice Cosulich and Paolina Cosulich.

At the end of the last year, the company ordered its first methanol dual-fueled chemical bunker tanker with a capacity of over 8,000 cubic meters and the ability to carry both green methanol and biofuels.

The vessel is scheduled for delivery in the last quarter of 2025 and will be located at the Port of Singapore under a fixed-rate time charter contract with global commodities trader Trafigura.
