Fluenta, a UK-based ultrasonic measurement and management technology specialist, has signed a framework agreement with Norway’s oil major, Statoil.

Fluenta said on Wednesday that the signed agreement entails supplying Statoil with ultrasonic flare gas meters.

The company also said that it will streamline the order and delivery process by fixing cost and other contract terms for the two-year duration of the agreement.

Sigurd Aase, CEO of Fluenta, said: “Fluenta has supplied Statoil with a number of flare gas meters in the past and has consistently proven the quality of its ultrasonic measurement technology, commitment to compliance and dedicated customer support.

“The new framework agreement demonstrates Statoil’s ongoing commitment to be the most carbon efficient oil and gas producer in the world, ensuring it has access to the most accurate flare gas measurement technology available.”
