The vessel, currently known as Hull 2492 is the last in a series of three large LNG carriers fitted with slow speed two-stroke high-pressure MEGI propulsion and reliquefaction system which brings the Boil-off down to 0.035 percent, the company said in its statement through its social media channels.

Like its two sister vessels, Flex Artemis and Flex Resolute, Flex Freedom is capable of transporting up to 173,400 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas.

Flex LNG said that once fully refurbished and tested, Flex Freedom will be available in the market in the third quarter of 2020.
