Amec Foster Wheeler, a multinational consultancy, engineering and project management company headquartered in London, has appointed George Hernandez as President, Upstream Business Development.

The company says that Hernandez will be based in its Houston office and will report to Jeff Reilly, Group President, Strategy and Business Development.

Amec Foster Wheeler added that, in this global role, Hernandez will drive the company’s upstream growth strategy, develop long-term relationships with new and existing key customers, and will also play a key role in the development and pursuit of key opportunities.

Jeff Reilly said: “George has a successful track record in business development and key account management experience in the upstream oil and gas arena, combined with a very strong operations background. I am delighted to welcome him to such a key role for our business.”

The company notes that immediately prior to his appointment, Hernandez had been Vice President Operations and Business Unit General Manager for WorleyParsons’ upstream business since 2013.

Previously, he held senior operations and business development roles with WorleyParsons, and preceding that held a business development role with Wood Group Mustang.
