Business & Finance

The RenewableUK Board has appointed Equinor’s Stephen Bull as the new Chairman and National Grid’s Roisin Quinn as the Vice Chairman, following the election of new board members in May.

Stephen Bull, Senior Vice President for Wind and Carbon Capture and Storage at Equinor, previously held the position of Vice Chairman at RenewableUK and is now succeeding Julian Brown who stood down from the position after six years as a Board member.

“I am delighted to be elected Chair of RenewableUK. The renewables sector has entered the mainstream. RenewableUK’s members secure significant infrastructure investments in the UK, as well as developing exciting technological and economic opportunities in the ongoing energy transition,” Bull said.

“As a Board, we have an important role to play here to maintain the trade association’s status as a highly respected industry voice.”

According to Brown, he will continue developing his work in a Non-Executive capacity in the wind industry with RenewableUK members Tekmar plc and 3Sun Group.

Roisin Quinn, who is the Head of Energy Strategy and Policy at National Grid, said she will focus on supporting RenewableUK in its work helping its members to build the future energy system.

“We have a diverse, forward-looking and commercial Board overseeing further deployment of renewables in the UK and ensuring that our members win business at home and abroad,” Quinn said.
