Under the terms of the renewal, Petrofac will continue its decade-long role as Duty Holder for the Irish Sea Pioneer, an offshore support vessel located off the North Wales coast, Petrofac said on Thursday.

The company will also continue to provide on and offshore operations and maintenance personnel on the Douglas fixed platforms, offshore storage installation, and at the onshore gas terminal at Point of Ayr.

The renewal builds on Petrofac’s existing portfolio of service provision for Eni, which includes Duty Holder for the Hewett Complex in the Southern North Sea.

Dave Blackburn, Senior Vice President, Petrofac Engineering and Production Services West, said: “We are delighted that Eni has exercised its option to extend our contract for another two years, continuing our long-term support of the Liverpool Bay Development.

“As Operators continue to look to the supply chain to generate value, this important renewal is testament to our record of sustained operations delivery across the UKCS. We very much look forward to working with Eni to maximise safe production throughout field life.”
