Engie Fabricom UK Sees CEO Switch

Business & Finance

Engie Fabricom UK’s interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Wichard Huigen is leaving the company and will be succeeded by the current Chief Operations Officer (COO) Richard Webster.

According to the company, Huigen has seen a near tripling of the turnover, a return to healthy profitability, and a strong order book during his tenure, and is now moving on to new ventures in continental Europe.

“Yes it has been a pleasure serving the ENGIE Fabricom organisation for the last year and a half.  As a team we have taken the next steps in our evolution and established a unique position between the large engineering companies and the focused construction management companies in the UK,” Huigen said.

“Having worked closely with Richard on a daily basis I am convinced Richard Webster is the right man to take ENGIE Fabricom UK to future growth. He has the experience, the support from the team and the drive to do so and he is the logical successor.”

Webster, who held a number of senior roles prior to becoming COO, said he wishes to reinforce the cultural change and growth Huigen achieved during his appointment.

“I also want to ensure that all our people aim for operational excellence, abiding by our core values and ensure our clients view us as their Partner of Choice,” Webster said.

Headquartered in Grimsby, North Lincolnshire, Engie Fabricom, part of the global energy group Engie, is active within the engineering, procurement and construction market across all UK industry sectors, including Renewables.
